Some of you have asked us if there will be an Encuentro Milonguero this year. We’ve decided that Milongueando will take a sabbatical in 2012, in order to renovate and improve our event and offer you an even more extraordinary Milongueando in 2013.

However, there will be a mini-event, called “Milongueando 2012, Special Edition,” to be held from August 4 to 6. Special Edition is a two-day workshop, followed by a mega-milonga.

We are glad to announce that this year the maestros of our festival will be Eugenia Usandivaras y Leo Calvelli (Argentina), Barbara Wainnright y Mario de Camillis (Argentina) and Ilona y Salvador Rios (Germany/Mexico). Besides traditional tango workshops we offer you additionally to improve your dancing quality with help of Alexander technique workshops held by Christine Traeger (Germany).

Of course, a series of exciting milonga days and nights are waiting for you – with DJ Don Carlos (Argentina), DJ Salvador (Mexico), DJ Evaldas (Lithuania) and more DJs to come.

We will start the festival on 22 August with a milonga in Riga and end on 26 August with the Chill-out milonga in Jurmala.
